Ms. Shannon holds a Masters in Science degree in Pastoral Counseling from Loyola College in Maryland and she is currently pursuing a PhD. She is a former teacher and administrator with a great deal of experience with the developmental issues associated with adolescence and young adulthood. She is also interested in the transitional challenges that older adults face including retirement, widowhood, and health.
Ms. Shannon has a desire to help others recover from trauma, grief and loss. She views counseling as a collaborative process where the therapist and the client work together to gain insights and create change. For her, counseling is a journey that two people take together to better cope with the difficulties that life can present.
